Golden Sniper is a cannon module in The Tower. The game lists it as Gilded Sniper. On enemy death, it has a chance to apply coin bonuses that an ultimate weapon, Golden Bot, or Extra Orb Mastery did not already tag. Kills that used to pay only the base coin value can pick up that extra bonus.
I tested an Ancestral copy at 5 stars on my own tower. Coins per hour (CPH) rose about 20% to 30%. Your tower is built differently from mine, so measure your own coins per hour before you treat that range as yours. Equip the copy you own, farm the tier you already run, and read the report. There is no single setup that fits every account.

The callout on the right is the 5-star Golden Sniper point from that test. The line before it is the same tower across the rest of the year.
What Golden Sniper converts
The Module Reroll Simulator lists the effect with the other cannon uniques. On enemy death, Gilded Sniper has a chance to apply the active coin bonuses even when the enemy is not in range. At Ancestral that chance is 40%. Epic, Legendary, and Mythic sit at 10%, 20%, and 30%.
In the runs I watched, that chance showed up on kills that were still untagged. Ultimate weapons tag their own kills. Golden Bot tags kills inside its range while it is up. Extra Orb Mastery tags orb kills. Golden Sniper is the extra bonus on deaths those three did not tag.
When almost every enemy already dies inside one of those tags, Golden Sniper has fewer kills left to convert, and coins per hour moves less. When a lot of enemies die outside them, the module has more to add. Two Ancestral copies can look completely different for that reason.
I compare the before and after runs on the Battle Report Analyzer. Same tier, same cards, then coins per hour across the full run.
Longer Golden Bot duration reaches kills outside its range
Golden Bot duration is more useful with this module than it used to be. A longer duration gives Golden Sniper more chances to convert enemies that die outside the bot's range. Those deaths are treated as if they happened inside Golden Bot range, so the bot coin bonus can still apply.
Duration keeps Golden Bot's own tag up, and it widens the window where an out-of-range kill can still take the bot bonus. If you parked duration because range or bonus looked stronger, look at it again with Golden Sniper on the cannon.
The Bot Coverage Calculator shows how duration and cooldown change uptime. I check the Golden Bot duration lab next to cooldown on the Bot Simulator. When the question is the next medal spend, the Bot ROI Calculator compares Golden Bot upgrades for a set medal budget.
Bounce Shot and Area of Effect can hold a higher tier
Bounce Shot and the Area of Effect card add damage and help the tower stay up deeper into a wave. I used to leave extra kill sources off when I wanted every death inside a coin tag. With Golden Sniper, those kills can still earn the bonus when an ultimate weapon, Golden Bot, or Extra Orb Mastery did not tag them.
The extra damage is there so the tower can survive a longer wave, and Golden Sniper can still pay the coin bonus on kills those three tags missed. If the tower holds, you can farm a higher tier than the one you were protecting those tags for.
Card Mastery lists the Area of Effect card and the radius each level adds. If you are also moving tower range or extra orbs for that higher tier, the Tower Range Simulator shows orb paths against tower range before you lock the labs in.
Test it on your own tower
The 20% to 30% gain was an Ancestral 5-star module on my farm. A lower rarity has a lower chance, and a tower that already tags most of its kills has less left to convert. Use this sequence so the comparison stays honest:
- Save a battle report on your current farming tier with the cannon you run now.
- Equip Golden Sniper at the level you actually own. If it is not Ancestral yet, the Module Shard Calculator is how I split shards across the cannon and the other modules before I judge the coin change.
- Keep the tier, cards, and bot labs the same for the first pair of runs.
- Then change one thing: more Golden Bot duration, or Bounce Shot and Area of Effect. See whether the higher tier still holds.
Read coins per hour on the Battle Report Analyzer again. If the second run is flat, your kills may already be tagged, or the module level may be too low for your tower. Change one piece and run it again.
