How to Take Advantage of the Module Reroll Simulator

Why I wait until Tier 18 to farm reroll shards, how Intro Sprint Mastery plus Nuke turns fleets into shard income, and how the Module Reroll Simulator helps before that unlock.

2026-09-21

Reroll shards feel scarce for a long time. Then you hit Tier 18, fleets start showing up constantly, and the same resource you were hoarding becomes something you can farm in an hour. This is how I play that curve, and why I still open the Module Reroll Simulator long before I can dump shards into every substat.

Fleets get fast after Tier 18

Fleet enemies do not show up evenly across the game. As you climb tiers, they appear earlier and more often. I keep the Fleet Stats table open for that schedule.

Until Tier 18, the first farming fleet is still a long wait. On Tier 18 the first fleet is around Wave 100. The Fleet Stats page lists Wave 95 as the first battle-condition spawn, then another fleet every 100 waves. That is the breakpoint: the run gets to a fleet almost immediately.

Fleet enemies also drop reroll shards most of the time, about 80% of the time versus 20% module shards. On Tier 18 that reroll drop is 1,650 shards.

Intro Sprint Mastery plus Nuke

If you have Intro Sprint card mastery, you can reach that first fleet in well under a minute. Then you use the Nuke card to kill the fleet as soon as Wave 100 arrives, collect the shards, and restart the run.

Do that on a loop and you can pull a huge pile of reroll shards in one hour. That is enough to push module substats toward the rolls you actually want, instead of living with "good enough" forever.

So when you reach Tier 18, get Intro Sprint Mastery as soon as you can. Card Mastery itself unlocks earlier, at Tier 16 Wave 100, which means you can have Intro Sprint Mastery ready before the fleet farm opens. The mastery is what turns a slow first-fleet wait into a short shard farm.

Do not grind shards before Tier 18

Before that breakpoint, I would not spend a lot of time chasing reroll shards or perfecting module substats. Coins and the rest of the economy will move your account further. Shard income is just too slow compared with what Tier 18 fleets will give you.

Save the heavy rerolling for after you can farm fleets this way.

Use the simulator while shards are still scarce

Before Tier 18, shards are expensive enough that you should plan the spend. That is where the Module Reroll Simulator helps.

I use it to decide:

  • how many reroll shards I am willing to put on each module
  • which substats are worth locking
  • which targets are realistic instead of a wish list

The simulator will not drop shards for you. It will stop you from burning the few you have on a slot that was never going to land. Then, once Tier 18 opens the fleet farm, you already know which modules still need work and which ones can wait.

If you are still climbing toward Tier 18, open the simulator, set the module you actually run, and spend the next shard budget on purpose.
